Filterballs have a superior filtering effect compared to normal filter sand or loose cartridge filters

Filterballs form an effective filter layer that adapts to the shape of any filter and catches suspended particles in water down to 10 micrometers. (Filter sand catches suspended particles down to 40-40 micrometers.)

Filterballs are also much easier to handle – 700 grammes of Filterballs replace 25kg of filter sand.
